When and where can I drop off old paint and other hazardous materials?
Your local scrap yard can accept these and e cycle them or many big business such as staples or office depot even help e cycle. There's also various programs such as "Tech 4 Troops" and such that can be sourced in your local municipal county who can recycle and ensure your e waste doesn't needlessly clutter our landfills.
If you show up in a pick up(no trailer) it is $5.
I would say yes. Just bring a bill that shows you live in the County and are simply using a friend's vehicle. More data included within... Can an out-of-county person use the landfill? No, we do not accept any material from outside of our jurisdiction (Stafford County or City of Fredericksburg). If you are not a business and assisting a relative drop off their trash then in this case you can use the landfill. If said resident is unable to come with you to prove the material is coming from within our jurisdiction then please bring a utility bill, property tax, or other official document showing the resident’s name and address.
The online website is specific what is acceptable and what is not. Usually, whatever you have in trash bags can just just toss in. Be sure to call if unsure.
