Worst county to do any type of a business in. The inspectors, and enforcers have no clue what they are doing. No wonder why PG County is the way it is. Stay out of this county, take your money/investments elsewhere. PG county should take lessons from DC. There is a reason when DC is thriving and PG county is going backwards.

It seems PG County has a an ineptitude, problem in every aspect of their government. This place is slow and incompetent. They cannot get permit completed correctly to save their lives. We had to wait six months for a permit to have a home built. And once the permit was issued it was for the wrong type of house. They then stated it has to be re-reviewed so expect 41 days. Yes that is a very awkward amount of time. However I expect double that amount of time Their response to long waits is lack of personnel. My response to that is, why not hire more people or you might have to take the drastic measures and fire the lot that you have to start doing things correctly. From top to bottom PG county has issues

So terrible service, 12 weeks to approve a simple design, structural reviews take half of the time or more and if you call they don't help you, they said 6 weeks first, after six weeks, they said 8, than 10 then 12, is like if they tell you what you want to hear, then the excuse is shortage of personnel, why do they don't hire more people?? Is not for being racist but since they answer the phone you can feel their non-disposition to help you. Montgomery county have a great costumer service, they really help you. You'll be very lucky if one of the reviewers answer the phone, they don't answer doesn't matter how many times you call or if you leave messages. Don't waste your times sending emails.

Call DPIE or 311 and they can answer this question.
