Just renewed my CW permit, great experience. Made appt, showed up with checkbook as credit card payments have a surcharge. Paid my $45 walked in the back with her, she sat on a computer to fill out online renewal form which took about 5min, after she walked me over to get my photo taken & 10min later I was walking out with my renewed permit. It could not have been easier. In my case it was my second visit as I had gone to renew three weeks prior & wasn't able to do so cause it was unknowingly suspended due to a charge/allegation that was made & dropped/dismissed 5yrs prior. The temporary flag was placed but the unflag after dismissal was never done! According to their own regs anything that's not or less than a felony clears off after 3yrs & isn't considered, but I still had to go to clerk of court & get a certified copy of dismissal for them & wait 2-3 weeks for mailed notification that flag was removed. I think this should have occurred as automatically as it was placed, unfortunately doesn't happen. Don't know if the court notifies them of a charge, but if that's the case they should've also notified of the dismissal! Something between the court & this dept happens only half way & definitely could be improved but the overall experience at the office was great, another 7yrs of practice & security. Glad our great state recognizes our right, couldn't live in a state that didn't!

My concealed carry expired over a year ago so I was unable to renew it online. Talked to someone on the phone and they told me I needed to reapply for my license. Made an appointment online for the next day I had off. Ended up showing up 20 minutes early and was seen immediately. Everything went smooth and quick. I was probably in and out in 10 minutes.

If you make an appointment there is no wait but they usually don't have one anyway.

No walk ins....easy to make an appointment...text when you arrive in the parking lot...they will actknowledge then text when they are ready for you to come in.
