Very nice officers. I was driving a commercial Van and didn't realize that I was supposed to pull through. They very politely let me know. Now on every trip II swing through and they just wave me by.

I'm from NY and will be visiting Florida in a few months. We will be towing a 5 X 8 utility trailer which carries my husbands wheel chairs. Do we have to stop? Also, what is the estricted access on the Florida turnpikes.

Lynda Herman | Oct 1, 2020

All agriculture horticulture and aqua culture plus all rental trucks and trailers must stop or you will be pulled over and you will receive a $330 fine. private vehicle hauling a rental must go in. Small private utility trailer attached to private vehicle need not go in unless you are hauling one of those 3 items listed above. You can run the toll roads in any vehicle that has a max height of 13' 6" and a max width of 11' 2" if you're hauling a trailer you will pay for each axle on that trailer. Not sure what the cost is, It varies along the turnpike. If you go all the way down South and you hook into the sawgrass Parkway off of the turnpike, they will send the bill to you in the mail. all the other regular toll booths you either use sunpass or you pay cash. I hope my answer helps you I've been driving the toll roads in a semi in Florida for years.
