Really pretty forest marsh at first then it goes into a field which is still pretty in its own way but too hot to walk in during middle of the day.

Yes, on a leash
4.5 miles in total in an out. First section of the trail is interesting through the swamp, but after that it's pretty much all the same. It's also quite an long drive to get there.
