Clean restrooms??? NOT.. will they be cleaned anytime soon??? Doubt it. Be aware !!! If your camping. Bring a bucket or a shovel . DONT RELY ON NPS to be accurate on description. Only thing you can count on is mosquitos and a hose for running water. That's accurate. I was there 10/8 . FYI campers. Probably the newest update.

This is a nice campground with a clean restroom. No showers available.I was tent camping for 2 nights so no electricity but potable water was close by. However RV sites do offer electricity.Very clean grounds well maintained overall. I had cell service through Verizon spotty but worked after a few tries. The Florida Burmese Python challenge was in full swing while I was there but everyone was pretty quiet between 10pm - 6am. Centrally located for all the area attractions as well as Oasis visitor center and Shark valley. Like the name indicates halfway between Naples and Miami. Hope to stay there again. Be sure to expand the photo of the lake you will see a large alligator about 10 ft.Happy camping. Thanks.

Wilderness RV camping, the only utility available is electricity, we had a 50 amp site. (There are dump stations) Love this location there's no cell signal no wifi just you and alligators and a few other RV guests. Located right smack in the middle of the Tamiami Trail.

I visited 3rd week in June. It is the rainy season in Florida and mosquitoes are abundant. I had planned on staying 2 nights but walking around, even with repellant was trying. As soon as you open your vehicle doors they flood in. I was there beginning of May before the rainy season and there were hardly any mosquitoes There isn't much to do there but relax, if that's all you want to do. Randy keeps the place rather well. There are toilets , no showers and potable water. There are electrical hookups , 120v standard, 30and 50 amps and I believe there is a dump station. Reservation with Recreation.gov. 50% discount with applicable annual and lifetime passes. I paid $30 for 2 nights after the discount. Supposedly there is an alligator in the central pond so be careful walking your dog, if you have one. It is next to US 41 and not noisy at all. The only lights at night are the restroom lights. Some sites may not be suitable for tall RVs due to the low canopies of some trees. Most if not all sites are level. Sites are all paved . I will visit again in winter when the mosquito level is down Update: I stopped by third week in July 2022 for a quick lunch. There were only two sites occupied and after having lunch in my van I decided to test the mosquitoes again. Yes I was attacked immediately. Back in my van and continued my journey.

It is not in the Everglades National Park, but in Big Cypress National Preserve.
There might be an Everglades City but that’s still close to 20 to 30 minutes away
Yes.
I don't know about the fish, but we barely avoided hitting a Moccasin on the road driving up to the lake. It was the only one we've seen while there.
There is only electrical hook up at camp sites, there is a central water and dump site for water fill-up And a bath house with water and flush
