Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bakersfield Airport, an IHG Hotel

Nice, clean and well maintained hotel, and was priced lower than others closer to town which I appreciated. We stayed in a suite with the sofa bed and it was surprisingly comfortable. It’s far enough away from the freeway that you won’t really hear any road noise. The free hot breakfast was also a plus (they have the cool pancake machine!)

Positive: Everything about this hotel is average, at best. We will not return. Negative: There was no housekeeping service, period. Clean towels had to be carried to the room from the check-in counter by the guests. Bathroom vanities were dusty, shower enclosure looked like it had been cleaned weeks prior. Very, very few amenities.

Staff has been very nice, hotel is clean, one of the better places to stay in the area. I have always stayed here when I am in this area. I will probably not stay here again and will go to one of the other airport hotels. I am on my 4th day of 5 and not once has the room been serviced. I leave the hotel from 630 am to 2 or 3 pm, and in that time, in 4 days, they cannot get to it. I have had to chase down the housekeepers to ask for more toilet paper. I'm dropping this rating to one star, because it is the minimum amount of service they could provide and they miss the mark completely.

the staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean, the room was spacious and provided my family with a great place to relax and sleep, the full breakfast was excellent, my boys loved watching the pancake maker!!!! we use holiday inn express hotels when we travel to visit our family and this one was an excellent stay. Thank you.
