Nice clean station. Walking distance to Power Plant Live, the Aquarium, the Reginald Lewis museum (fascinating place I visited on a field trip with my students once), Little Italy and even Harbor East if you are up for 10-15 minutes of exercise. One can also bring bikes on the Metro, and it's less than a 10 minute ride to Fells Point over flat terrain! I used to use this station when I contracted out of an office down the block. Unfortunately my commute and schedule don't take me underground anymore ... wish Baltimore's trains ran more places. 😢 Until we get political leaders who do more than kiss up to suburban real estate developers and car dealerships, I'll share some station tips and trivia: ~~~You can enter the station at one end, walk under President Street, and exit the other end without entering the paid area. Safe and useful if rainy or if light is turning red as you walk up 😜 ~~~The fare-free zone also has an interesting exhibit showing historical artifacts that were dug up when the station was constructed. Also describes how the station was engineered under the Jones Falls (yep, if you catch the train here you will be waiting for it underwater 💧). ~~~Speaking of history, the station is named after that odd tall smokestack-like structure you can see as you approach the end of 83. Think folks used to manufacture bullets here, but go read the info plaque a block from the east station entrance and find out for yourself.
