Nice and fresh Park
Ericatthebarrack
Very nice park and pavilion. Weather permitting, it is a nice venue for a reunion of any type. High School, family, military etc.

Went on a group canoeing trip with 12 others and had a great time! Max and the rest of the staff there were super nice and helpful. Can't wait to do it again.

Yes
Yes
There is an entrance fee at the front gate per vehicle, rate of entry fee is based on residence within Carroll County and type of vehicle (car/truck vs bus). Get someone over 62 years old to drive the car/truck and entry is free. All free grills are first come first served. Alternatively, if you wish to utilize a pavilion, you must call ahead and reserve the pavilion for a fee. If you're bringing a large group for something like a birthday party, wedding, or graduation, I would highly suggest reserving a pavilion far in advance so you are guaranteed a spot with shade, rain cover, and reserved grills. However, if you are trying to have a party and not pay a pavilion rental fee, I've seen people send someone early in the morning to claim tables and grills and have had fairly large parties without a pavilion rental. I can't remember their policy on pop up tents, but I would imagine if you're courteous to your neighbors, it would be fine.
No
Yes, there are picnic tables near the boat rental, both in the woods and along the water.
I saw few people kayaking around and also few ones fishing by the reservoir. Ofcourse, I visited the place over a month ago when the weather was cooler than now. But i think you will find your own spot to enjoy the waterview.
There is a large one near the water by the boat rental area. It is very clean.
Yes...yes...not sure on kayak cost
Yup!
Caroll county residents $5 Non -Carroll count residents $10
I did see a couple with a dog in a canoe. I'm not sure if it was a rented one or not. But you could probably call and check.
Fee is $10 for those outside Carroll county, otherwise 5
I think they do.. Check with the park.. You probably need to reserve it
It has weekend-only winter hours
I brought my own kayak.
The people at the entrance will be glad to point you to the closest parking to the pavilion you want to be at.
No, it is a Carroll county Park
There is a fee on the main side. There is an entrance on the Martz Rd side that is open to all and free. It has paths that go around the lake in multiple directions and a map.
what about on the dirt, like the woods next to the trails. and its a small pitbike, not like a 7k dirtbike. its not loud, pretty quiet
You can rent canoes everyday during the regular season. June thru Oct.
Yes you can.
The boathouse is normally stocked with a variety of baits. Call ahead to check availability and boathouse hours. The boathouse is not always open the same hours as the park.
There is no entry fee from November through March. The gate is open from 8 until 4 week days. You can walk in on weekends. Spring through Fall there are entry fees.
Below pavilion 2 for upper playground. Below pavilion 3 for lower playground.
I recommend Rocky Gap State Park. Its bigger, and has great camping sites. It also has beaches, and good hiking trails.
