The way some of your police officers treat ppl is not nice. The way this world is built nowadays i wish some of your workers knew how to better deal with calls and real crimes out here sometimes. Some of yall decision making if off. Some 911 calls aren't being responded to but you waste your time and tax money showing up to calls about a neighbor yelling at another which was a lie but when that same neighbor was trespassing and acting crazy on our property you guys never came to help. Wilmington Inaugural Train Rally 2009 The WPD does a great job policing. This Law enforcement officer was absolutely phenomenal. On one of the coldest days in Wilmington, we were visiting the city for the Whistle Train tour, we were waiting for a long time. My son could not feel his feet, the officer took the foot warmers out of his shoes, and placed them in my son shoes so he could be warm and enjoy the event.

A close family member of mine recently had their personal belongings stolen in the area. She reported & called and was told that they’ll look into it. For the last month, she would call for updates & be told they’ll keep in touch. They never did. This is why crime continues to happen in Wilmington and Delaware, in general, because the police don’t care and never try.

Recently became aware of potential mail/computer fraud centered in Wilmington, DE. Tried to get information on how to appropriately report and the operator (or whoever answers the main number for the Wilmington PD) would not even listen to my explanation. They referred me to my local PD. Rude and unhelpful. Oughta consider changing that whole “protect and serve” motto.
