This place tried to take advantage of my parents, an elderly couple in their 80's. They dropped their car off for an alignment and were later told they needed an additional $250 worth of work. $150 of that was for a new fuel filter. My mother called me and told me of the additional work suggested. Since I had changed that filter the year prior and they barely drive that car 3000 miles in a year, I knew something was up. I immediately went to the shop and asked why the fuel filter needed to be changed. The service writer told me "the tech noticed it was a little worse for wear". How exactly does a tech notice a fuel filter, encased in a metal housing, looks "worse for wear"? Does he have x-ray vision? Can he see through metal? Or did he see the housing was dirty (it's attached to the frame rail so it's exposed to the elements), so why not suggest a $150 job that takes a $20 part and about 10 minutes of work. BTW, the car was running fine with no signs of a fuel delivery problem. They tried to sell a service that was NOT NEEDED simply based on a dirty metal housing. This is why people hate to take their cars to mechanics.

I would give them a call. Depending on how much damage is done some rims cannot be repaired safely. You will have to buy a new one. And if you need cosmetic work not sure. That can make it hard to re-balance. You might need a rim repair specialist. Hope this helps.
