Beautiful state park with lots of hiking trails available. Lots of bugs in the summer so prepare ahead. Trails are hilly but not too strenuous. Marked well for the trails that are maintained by the park.

Beautiful State Park. The sites are private and not overcrowded. Would have gotten 5 stars but they didn't have wood yet they don't let you bring in wood. Okay supply chain demands happen but the woman selling what was left was rude and nasty.

Amazing location for hiking, there's easy to more difficult paths for the whole family to enjoy. The overlook is also a very cool spot to check out if you can make it up the terrain. The large ponds near the entrance of the park holds a large variety of wildlife from hawks to turtles. Hoping to come back soon with the family when the weather gets warmer. I've been in the snow and the experience was still very good, everything is plowed to make walking easy.

Wells State Park is an beautiful and well kept park. The tree and stonewall lined main roads for cars give way to expansive hiking trails. Walker pond is great for kayaking and canoeing but at peak times motor boats enjoy screaming up and down the long pond. The wakes are manageable though I don't think there is a speed limit on the pond. Wells also offers camping and yurting! Yurts are about $70 a night, are clean and well kept, and have electricity (lights and outlets). Campsites are well spaces out (though not private) and have a fire pit and stand along charcoal grill.

I think it was removed at the time they rebuilt the bathroom facilities. (3-4 yrs ago) Not sure why it was removed, though in general, it's a smaller campground catering to tent and small rv/pop-up campers. Maybe they felt the upgrade to the bathroom and shower facilities lessened the need for a dump station.
Drc controlled campgrounds are closed due to covid
Not officially, but you can still park and hike the trails
If you are a Massachusetts resident then it's 17 to 20 plus tax and more for a bungalow

The lower bathroom and showers are all new and have 2 large combo handicapped/family combo bathroom/shower.
Yes
Their closed for camping now. But you can still walk. Camping is memorial day to Columbus day
Any sites near the lake would offer sky views. There's no street lights near the campground, it's set back away from the roads. There's some light noise from the nearby MassPike but hardly noticable.
No electric. Generators allowed during daytime hours. Water faucets located throughout the park but not at individual sites. No longer a dump station.
Yes
Sadly not. Park is seasonal from may weekend through September I believe
Not too many different ones but they are good. Good view at carpenter's rocks too
No it's a state park put down the electronic devices and experience nature
You'll want to bring a 5gal container to fill up. But no hook ups.
