Most have a “macho man” attitude that is very off-putting to citizens who are asking for help. NBPD should seek assistance from trained professionals on how to deal with the mental health and psychological state of victims/anxious civilians.

Truly one of the worst experiences with a police department I have ever had. They always arrived very late when called and you can't even walk in and get decent help because the person at the front desk sees a non-white person and goes berserk. They are clearly infected with apathy and corruption. They are the only reason New Brunswick will never reach its full potential. Update: 1/2022 This department getting police cameras is a complete joke and waste of money. They don't even leave their offices enough to help prevent real crime. Which as I predicted has gone up exponentially. They only leave the office to flex useless military equipment during big football games at Rutgers. Those things will just collect dust until the gentrification the city is clinging to so tightly truly goes into effect. Then they will protect the property newly seized by outsiders.
