Don't go to this hospital. I've had family in nursing homes and many hospital visits. Never have I witnessed the lack of care, concern and compassion as at this place. My sister barely able to use hands or turn in bed would constantly call crying and starving in pain. Too many things to list. Just do yourself and loved ones a favor and steer clear of this place.

Very happy with Dr. Sammy Elsamra, Dr. Velez whom are both in the Urology Department. In addition, the pre-operation and the recovery unit are highly effective, caring and professional. I had entered the Emergency room of RJW at 7:30am on September 22, 2022. By 8pm that night, I had been shuttled around to four separate parts of the hospital, during this tour of the RWJ hospital and its different areas, I was met with the rudest non-caring and dismissive medical staff which did not give a hoot about anything. I am really not going to go into all of it, but, it is suffice to say that the hospital and "most of the staff" I had encountered should not even be working at a fast food facility. As stated above, I was happy with my doctors and the operating facility and staff which I had encountered at the end of my fourteen- hour journey through RWJ. Keep in mind, if you select a doctor with hospital privileges only in RWJ, that you will quite possibly in the future have to navigate the unprofessionalism and incompetence that was on full display during my fourteen-hour journey throughout RWJ. Avoid RWJ at all costs Another problem just encountered, unable to get copies of my medical tests by going to RWJ in person. Also, of the third time I have been locked out of the patient portal.

It is the most terrible place. I had an accident and they transferred me there and they only took x-rays and from there I told them that I wanted to go to the bathroom, ok, after doing them they finished and they only went to put my stretcher in front of an ice machine that terribly cold air comes out, I told them that I had what to do in the bathroom and they ignored me they didn't see me again for 6 hours later I had to urinate on myself and so I urinated and went to an ice machine after 6 hours the doctor arrived he made me walk I told him I was peeing because no one helped me in 6 hours and only told me that he was sorry that they would change my sheets and it was a lie I had to go back to bed in my bed and he gave me the exit and no one knew until 2 hours later that my husband went and told him wing nurse that the doctor had given us the check out asia hours and she just said or I'm going to check the computer. And indeed, I already had an exit to Asia for hours. It was my nightmare to be in that place

I’ve been here for 24 hours with a dislocated finger and I’ve been treated as if I have done something wrong. Nothing has been done for me except I’ve been IV’s (which I’m going to be charged for). I didn’t even need them, they’re service was terrible and worst of all, a whole day later, I’m still sitting here with a dislocated finger and NO progress made.

I believe it’s not free, but income based. There is one there though. You’d have to call and ask for the dental clinic. Maybe some services are free. I was there pre-Covid for a different purpose but I had to wait near the dental area so it was there around 2019 unless something has changed.
I think if you are able to walk around and can do it you should. Unfortunately nurses are human too and they get stressed out and I think they are very busy
I went to Rutgers, both upgraded and grad, 30 years ago. I came back, looking for RWJ, hospital and medical school, to help me with a currently unknown treatment for a chronic pain full disease. I ended up one night in their ER, screaming with pain. The doctor was nice, the nurses were NOT. It was the day shift, if that has anything g to do with nurses' temperaments.
YES, THEY ACCEPT ALL INSURANCE & NON INSURANCE PATIENT'S AND WILL WORK OUT PAYMENT PLANS AND ASSISTANCE AFTER AND DURING.
Call medical records and request for a medical release form.
Visiting hours are from 9 to 9
Do you have Email to connect and make an appointment??
You should call the department
Call medical records
Look for the requirements when applying for a job at RWJ. Hiring will depend upon a valid license and number of experience in your field.
Are you serious??? That is so unfortunate and I really hope this isn’t true. I’m am shocked beyond words.

Service dogs are allowed everywhere, except maybe the MRI or operating rooms. Emotional support dogs/animals may legally denied admittance into the hospital, depending on the breed or situation. Please do not bring your pit bulls or rottweilers to the hospital. * There is no national certification for service animals. I should add the Seeing Eye of Morristown would provide certification that the dog is a verified seeing - eye dog. Other service dogs may not have paperwork, however it is easy to spot the fake ' service dogs'.
Yes
Personally, I DO NOT like the doctors @ rwjh. They are there for the money, not the people. I have fired several doctors for incompetence. Try Hackensack Meridian Bay Shore in Old Bridge NJ.
Yes, they accept and treat all Patient's and work with you on payments and with charity care and if you qualify at a later date. When you go to hospital and get treated the registration staff will discuss it all with you and give you the proper application and explain everything.
Depends how big the wound is usually Couple days, about a week.

Yessss
To the best of my knowledge this hospital doesn't carry that name drj .
Its close to the train station and the bus stop. You have to contact your local bus station or suburban bus stations.
Yes, there should be. When you get to the information desk inquire. Also, when you get to ICU, ask the unit clerk if they'll validate your parking.
You'll have to go there personally. You need to have medical proxy for family member. Call them first. They will give you the info you need to bring.
NO BUT THEY ARE BASED ON INCOME, IF YOU ARE ON MEDICARE THAN IT IS PROB FREE
