My grandson has led a very hard and difficult life. Unfortunately for me I was not in his life much he was raised by his grandmother my mom and his grandfather because he had no father and his mother died.. During his lifetime he was horribly abused by the family. I segregated myself from the family many many years ago for that exact same reason (abuse) and i found excellent help through the behavioral health system in AZ. When I found my grandson he was a nervous depressed and was mentally ill. I intervened. I signed him up with La Frontera Empact and my grandson sounded as if there finally was hope for him. Eventually his grandfather left my mom and went on his own because he could not endure her aggressiveness, his grandfather is looking for an apartment right now and is going to take Nicholas with him, he is a very gentle man. La Frontera has been absolutely wonderful and understanding. Also Protecting Nicholas interests and human rights. Today was his first day of counseling and I'm sure that he was able to unload all the sadness he had to endure in his life. I was hoping that after Nicholas's first counseling session that he would not have some anxiety after disclosing his feelings. So I called La Frontera and Javier the person at reception answered. I explained to Javier my concern hoping that he could have a peer support specialist follow-up the same day. And Javier graciously understood and said he would set up a follow up call. I wish I could give this agency more stars because they truly deserve it because they understand humanity and difficulties in life that may arise through mental illness.

As someone who used to be a peer support and peer counselor the services here are appallingly bad I Would give negative stars if I could, they encourage people to give up their support systems that have been in place for years and cutting out family entirely, encourages making false claims against them to prevent them from helping further, doesn't inform their patients of court dates, obstructing courts when they try to get medical information, they're in the business of repeat customers ,not in getting people to help they need if you want someone you care about to get help please don't send them here there are plenty of other mental health facilities that can provide better care and if you have the same problems contact your local ombudsman or the Arizona board of behavioral health examiners

I've been coming here for several years and by far is the best place I have found for treatment. I recommend at least giving it a try and see for yourself.

I was lied to regarding the services they provide. I was VERY clear about what I was looking for when I made my initial appointment, and was assured that they definitely offer the desired service, only to be told at my intake appointment that they do NOT provide said service. No explanation as to why I was given blatantly false information, just a short "sorry you were misinformed", and that was it. So...watch out. They might lie to you, like they did to me.
