Dave did a great job on some architectural fencing to hide 2 AC compressor units on the side of the house and meet the subdivision standards. Great price, response time, and quality when no one else was interested. Save yourself some time and call Dave at Hillcrest Fences first.

Just contacted David last night and was promptly here this morning to for my repairs after a storm yesterday. Very nice man, honest and loyal to his customers. This is my second time calling him and both times has totally impressed me.

Hillcrest Fences is the most reasonable, and they are the best, and you truly get what you pay for when it comes to most things in life. Their owner was very attentive/informative and was sure to be onsite the day of installation to ensure everything was going to our satisfaction. The fence provided by this fence contractor company is both aesthetically pleasing and architecturally sound. On the installation day, David and his team were skilled craftsmen, very professional, and made sure to let us know everything regarding the installation process. I highly recommend Hillcrest Fences for all your fencing needs. You will not regret it. They deserve more than 5 stars.

It was a pleasure installing your vinyl fence in winter Haven Florida. Like we mentioned the beauty of having a PVC fence is that you can wash it with water and mild soap. You do not need and should not paint a PVC fence like the one you have in winter Haven Florida.

When digging for 10 fence posts for a PVC fence in Lakeland Florida today, can you guess how many had an obstacle (pipe, root, electical, rock, etc) in?

Hillcrest Fences | May 4, 2022
Hillcrest Fences | May 4, 2022

The fence posts holes that we dug in Lakeland Florida today are actually representative of our experience in running into obstacles while digging fence posts holes. On average, like for this PVC fence install in Lakeland Florida, we run into obstacles 2 out of 10 times. These obstacles are mostly pipes for irrigation and are not identified by Florida 811 so hiring a licensed and insured fence contractor like Hillcrest Fence is a great idea to asve you trouble!

What is the difference between the top and the bottom rail in the PVC fence you installed in Lakeland Florida?

Hillcrest Fences | May 4, 2022
Hillcrest Fences | May 4, 2022

The top and bottom rails in a PVC fence like the one we installed in Lakeland FL are the same. The only difference is that the bottom PVC fence rail has the slot oriented up and you direct the upper PVC fence rail with the slot towards the bottom. This way, you can insert your PVC fence pickets inside the slots and hold them in place.

How tall can I have my PVC fence installed in Auburndale Florida? I do not like my neighbor much. 🤣

Hillcrest Fences | May 4, 2022

You have to check the maximum PVC fence height in your city by calling Auburndale Florida. You also have to check if you have an HOA as they usually have their requirements. In general, in Polk County Florida, the maximum height for a backyard PVC fence is 6 feet and in the front if allowed is like 4 feet but you definitely need to check the heights accepted before you have your PVC fence installed in Auburndale FL.

Do you use concrete to solidify fence posts in Winter Garden Florida? If yes, for which type of fence installation: wood? aluminum? PVC? chain link?

Hillcrest Fences | Apr 4, 2022
Hillcrest Fences | May 4, 2022

With the Winter Garden Florida weather being so intense with heavy rain and strong winds and sometimes hurricanes, we recommend that all your fence posts whether they be PVC, aluminum, wood or chain link be strongly anchored with a solid amount of concrete. On the long run, you will not regret having solidified your fence posts in Winter Garden Fl with a good dose of concrete when mother nature tests it! .😁

How long should I wait to stain or treat my new wood fence in Kissimmee Florida?

Hillcrest Fences | Apr 4, 2022
Hillcrest Fences | May 4, 2022

A wood fence in Kissimmee Florida can add great value and beauty to your vacation home. Wood fences require more maintenance like regular staining or painting or even waterproofing. If the wood in your Kissimmee FL fence is treated, ask the provider when it is a good time to stain or paint it. They usually know if your wood fence has been dryed in the manufacture. To be more certain that your new wood fence in Kissimmee Florida is ready to be stained or painted, you can do a sprinkle test. If the water you sprinkled on your wood fence is absorbed that means your wood fence is ready to be stained or painted. If the water you sprinkled pearls this means your wood fence needs to dry more before being stained or painted. The delay to be ready to stain or paint your wood fence in Kissimmee Florida can vary from a couple of days to a couple of months depending on the weather and if the wood for your fence was dryed in the manufacture.

How can I prevent damages to my fence in Kissimmee Florida?

Hillcrest Fences | Apr 4, 2022
Hillcrest Fences | Apr 4, 2022

The most common repairs made to any fence is falling limbs and it could be prevented by trimming the tree annually. Since you cannot protect your fence from Polk County Florida's extreme weather like hurricanes, heavy rains and even tornados, having your trees serviced regularly is one way to keep your fence installation in good shape!

Which type of fence will last the longest here in Winter Garden Florida? wood, PVC, aluminum or chain link?

Hillcrest Fences | Apr 4, 2022
Hillcrest Fences | Apr 4, 2022

The longevity of your fence depends on how well you take care of it but in general, here is our answer: Aluminum will last the longest and requires little repairs and maintenace, Iron is second best and will require occasional repairs, Chain-link will give you solidity but may rust on the long run, Pvc might need pressure washing on occasions but will give you decades of worry-free fence, Wood is the kind of fence that will require the most maintenance with either paint, pressure washing, treatment, etc Eventually, the fence posts might also need replacement but you will still have a long time of enjoying your fence in Winter Garden Florida. Considering that most people live in the same house for 10 to 20 years, the overall durability fo your fence should be a minor consideration for you when you decide which type of fence you want installed on your property in Winter Garden Florida.😁

Which type of fence would resist the best to big winds and heavy rain like we get in Clermont Florida? PCV, chain link, aluminum or wood?

Hillcrest Fences | Apr 4, 2022
Hillcrest Fences | Apr 4, 2022

In order of resistance, even though every experience is different. Aluminum fences even though they are lightweight offer a good resistance to the florida climate. Iron fences are strong and classy and very resistant to wind and rain. They can be a little costly though. A Chain-link fence offers solidity and resistance to wind and rain in Polk County Florida. They do tend to rust over time. A PVC fence offers beauty and solidity but has a limited lifetime in decades. A wood fence does not tolerate well repeated moisture and wind. It tends to get molded on the long run. That said, Hillcrest Fences has installed many wood fences and their owners were very happy with their new fence. Any type of fence can offer good resistance against wind and Florida rain if isntalled properly like we do at Hillcrest Fences of Polk County Florida. We pay special attention to deep post digging and use a generous quantity of concrete! That being said, of course, no fence is guaranteed in case of a tornado!

Which kind of fence is more expensive here in Lakeland Florida: wood or PVC?

Hillcrest Fences | Apr 4, 2022
Hillcrest Fences | Apr 4, 2022

As much as we hate those answers starting with "it depends" this is the case!🤣On installation, a wood fence in Lakeland Florida would cost less than a PVC fence. On the long run though, you have to take into account that you will need to treat the wood fence and/or paint it regularly and maybe change some posts that will have rotted in the ground. Overall, the decision to install a wood fence or a PVC fence in Lakeland Florida is really dependent on the owner's choice. What do you prefer?
