I enjoyed my experience today. Booked a consult with Destiny, ended up being able to set an appointment. Decided on the trim, deep conditioning and twist. She was very knowledgeable about my hair type. Next appointment set for 3 weeks.

I visited this salon for the first time in April and was immediately frustrated by 2 last minute cancellations due to scheduling issues with the stylist. This salon is close to my home and it was recommended by a family member, so I exercised a little patience. Once I was finally able to sit down with my stylist, I was very satisfied with her work and the salon in general. However today, this relationship has come to an unfortunate end due to an unprofessional and tactless receptionist. My request for the owner's contact information by text to discuss my frustration was met with silence. So, hence this review.

Great salon! great customer service! Keisha Rand awesome stylist! I'm loving my hair, received lots of compliments! All questions I had regarding care of my now "natural hair", was answered. Took her time to explain each step as she was cutting. I was nervous, but she made me feel comfortable. Look forward to booking my next appointment!

It is best to schedule but they definitely do do walk ins. I've heard from several stylists that they can get really busy from walk ins.

We work with so many clients who are trying to restore the health of their natural hair after getting heat damage, that it would be counterproductive to do the same service that continues to damage their hair. Hi Leigh! With doing my research, a certified Deva stylist is one trained in curl-specific services. This may be natural curls(clients that are natural with no chemical products in their hair) or just regular curls (clients that may get chemicals such as perms and relaxers). I think research is one of our best approaches to take when looking for stylists who can perform such services. At most salons, a consultation is conducted, especially for new clients. During this consultation, the new client should ask specific questions tailored to their hair type, and ask the stylist if he/she can show you a portfolio of their work (services) if available. Also, reading salon reviews is a great way to gain insight on whether or not the stylist/salon can do the service you seek.
