I rented a car at the Thrifty, Raleigh airport in August 2022. The person at the counter was very nice and friendly. I received an estimate ticket for $114 for the 2 day rental which is what I expected. I returned the car on time with a full tank of gas. My credit card was charged $162. It seems they added the tank of gas option. I did NOT authorize it. There was no one checking cars in when we returned it, and I made the rookie mistake of not taking a pic of the dash showing the tank full (I do have the credit card payment tho). There is really nothing that can be done after the fact. The simple stole $45 from me. I wish zero stars was an option. I will never rent from these jack holes again.

Total Scam. DO NOT RENT from here. We rented a car and specifically asked about the toll tag as we were in town for a sports event and were told by the organizers that we would need a toll tag to get from hotel to fields. The Thrifty employee told us we wouldn't need one and that if we did, it was only a small charge. A few weeks after we returned home, we received a bill for $19.56 in toll charges and $300 in ADMIN CHARGES. They "discounted" the admin charges by $210 showing we owe $109.56! We called to complain and they said instead they would charge us $15 a day for the use of the toll tag... $60. The actual toll costs billed to Thrifty from the toll road was $19.56. What a SCAM!

My review comes on the heels of a bad experience with this car rental company, but the Manager, Detwonya, was exemplary in her handling of my issue. She chose to trust my story (which WAS true) about my previous rental in which I disputed charges, and provided the fair refund I requested. She knows the true meaning of good customer service and handled my issue politely and professionally. Well done, Detwonya!

I picked up my car couple hours after my scheduled pick up and no fee applied, however they might cancel your reservation if you were too late. Call and make sure!

If I remember correctly the pickup hours don't begin until 5 or 6am but the drop off is earlier or even 24 hour. We ended up getting a hotel nearby because we had to wait for the rental office to open.

Online 24 hrs in advance and it has at least 200 extra dollars depending on the car you choose

As of September 2021, the shuttle begins at 7AM and ends about 1130PM. Be aware that the shuttle is not very frequent, waits up to 30 minutes have been reported!
