Horrible experience at the Rhawn Street building!!!

The office people are stupid. When you call for their location, they tell your they are in the Smylie Building,, which no longer exists,, at Rhawn and the Boulevard across from Checkers restaurant. They are at 2607 Rhawn St which is behind the Checkers. There are 4 corners at an intersection. Across from checkers is a diner. When people call for your address, give them the street address. Not a generalization of where you are because you are wrong.

I am writing this as I have never gone to one of their centers, but maybe I have been lucky.. My primary doctor has me capitated to Akumin. Recently, I was written an order for a ultrasound and injection. Akumin said they dont do that, and would need to refer me to another facility. I am fine with that, no concern. It took months, numerous phone calls, getting no responses, while trying to get them to write a referral to a new provider that did offer the result. Eventually, they did whatever paperwork and got it approved. I will need this again, and not looking forward to having to deal with the business office to figure out how to refer me to someplace that does the procedure.. Ideally someplace closer to where I live as well.

I went for a mammogram.. The test went fine and I found the staff to be most helpful and efficient.. They had my file from many years ago..
I have always been a walk in.
Depends on what kind of study you are getting. If it is a routine xray, like a chest xray for example, you can walk in, but realize there may be a wait if the xray tech is busy with scheduled patients.
