For last decade Pallavi Ahluwalia and her team has worked on my EB green card process and several H1B extensions. Her knowledge, experience, thoroughness and honesty as immigration attorney are exceptional and commendable. ALO team members are professional, diligent and responsive. Highly recommend for visa and Immigration needs.

Questions & Answers

My father retired as central govt employee in India and he gets pension and medical benefits there. Does accepting US Citizenship affect his current benefits in India. Can he continue to get pension and other benefits for retired employees. Thanks!

Don’t know the Indian rules - please discuss it with retirement benefits in India - in my opinion the benefits shouldn’t be impacted.

I have applied GC on EB1C catagory. PD is 27th Dec'2017. I-140 was approved on Oct'18 and interview was done on Mar'19. My current EAD will expire on Nov'20. If I change the employer, what documents I need from new employer for EAD extension?

The dates being processed right now are 2008. There will be a second step to complete with the NVC prior to the interview.

He will have to try to register late and if the system doesn’t allow that he will have to take a screen shot to show later.

Hi, I have my citizenship interview scheduled this jun 26th and I have India trip on jun 29. Can I go out of US after interview and before Oath?

If approved at the interview, you can request the officer that you will be traveling and to kindly reschedule the oath and provide the dates that you will be back and ready for the oath. We don’t recommend any rescheduling usually as it causes delays and later you will need many requests to get the oath ceremony.

I had applied for my sister for permanent immigrant visa , she received a letter stating that it"s been approved .Does her husband get the immigrant visa too as her spouse ? how about her children?

The time the family can get the visa as well is at the NVC stage. If the family – her husband and children were mentioned in the I 130, which has now been approved, then at a later stage of the processing, she will add them and pay for their fee bills. She has to add them prior to her immigrant visa approval and interview.
