Took our tracker to the inlet , anchored and waded in. Best access by canoe or kayak.

Fantastic island in the middle of the Maumee river. Lots of wildlife on it. Has a funky rope swing on the south side.

Water is generally calm and shallow on the Western side, averaging 4 ft deep and then beming choppier and reaching depths of 10 ft as you come around to the Eastern side. There is a channel that cuts through the West side cutting the Island …

Located in Lucas County on the Maumee River within the City of Maumee and adjacent to Perrysburg. This preserve is owned and managed by the Toledo Metropolitan Park District. The area is accessible only by private watercraft. There is a small unimproved boat landing; no other facilities are present. From Audubon Islands State Nature Preserve webpage

Not at this spot but in Grand rapids just south of there about 15 or so miles you can.
