I lived here for a year and frankly it was 11 months too long. In the first few days of moving in a noticed an odd smell. I wrote it off as a new paint smell but it was not that. I came to the conclusion it was cigarettes that had been soaked into the wall and carpet. I also found used cigarettes in the closest. It took so much time and money to get the smell out so I can live properly. When I told the leasing office about this I was told that it wasn’t their problem. I knew right then I needed go get out. However I did not have the money to break my lease so I had no choice. In the year that followed, I had floods, mice, ceiling collapsing on me, and just overall a horrid experience. Not to mention, being yelled at my maintenance because I took precautions to protect myself. I’m a young woman who lived on the ground level alone, I put locks on my windows and doors in case, god forbid anyone broke in. I was told I couldn’t have them, and was forced to take them off. I felt extremely unsafe. To people looking here, stay away. It’s honestly not worth it

I am very satisfied with the accommodations and the prompt maintenance services. I would rate a "5" except for these two items: - Since Berger took over, they've raised the rent each year, despite the current economy, and it includes "fees/charges" for items that were included in my lower rents under the previous management company (I've not seen any improvement in services). - The trash pick up in the grass area behind the building is seldom done. People who walk behind the building throw bottles, cups, plastic, etc., and it lays there until the wind blows it somewhere else. Also the cleaning of the hallway and area near the laundry area is seldom done. There is always bits of paper, drier lint, and so forth in the halls and up the stairs.

I was so happy to move here, until the Monday after we had our housewarming party. The manager Pat called me yelling at me like I was a child, couldn't get a word in. Since then we have had numerous fake complaints about noise in my apartment. We work all day, and when I asked for proof, I was told "I'm waiting for it." Of course I never received this proof (and this complaint was from a maintenance worker) and 1 person who lives in my building works from home says she never hears any loud noise from my apt). We were then threatened to be evicted. I had everyone in my building sign a petition that there was no loud noises coming from my apt (1 person even works from home) I went above Pat to Jasmine (that got me no where) I went above her and called the CEO Dan (never got a call back). Now our lease is not being renewed and we pay our rent on the 1st or early every month. I never went through anything like this in 10 years living in this state. I have spoke to many people who live here now, and who use to live here and they said the management is awful. Pat is a bully. Even people that never lived here have heard bad things about the management. This place is not worth my anxiety or making my heart condition any worse. Other then the management being awful, the location is great and the openness of the apartment is great. I love my neighbors and they love us. I am sad to move but again, not worth the aggravation

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER RENTING AN APARTMENT FROM THIS POORLY MANAGED COMPLEX!!!! The professionalism of the staff, especially the Property Manager Pat Herbert, was unsatisfactory and completely unacceptable! Pat Herbert accused us of an issue that we did not do. When we asked her for proof of this issue, she claimed that she would provide us this proof. After waiting for months, and even to this day, no proof has been provided because the accusation is not true. We addressed this accusation to upper management, which happen to be a waste of time because everyone took Pat's side in this accusation. I am a firm believer that between two stories lies the truth. This was not the case in this situation. Pat Herbert is very rude, unprofessional and a bully to all tenants that live in this complex. It's interesting that we have been the type of tenants that have been respectful to everyone in our complex, paid our rent on time (sometimes earlier, in spite of this pandemic) and yet we are being accused for something that we did not do. As a Gay Black Male, I can't help but to believe that I have been discriminated. I am from New York City and never experienced anything like this before. This has got to be the worst discrimination that I have ever experienced in my entire life. Being in the Customer Service industry for over 20 years, if I would have said or done any of the things that Pat Herbert has done or said I would have been fired on the spot. It's amazing how she can get away with treating and talking to tenants in any way that she please, with rudeness and unprofessionalism, and still maintain her position! If this type of rudeness and unprofessionalism continues with Pat Herbert, I believe there will be other tenants that will decide to no longer reside in this complex. The only positive things I can say about this complex is that our neighbors were amazing and the size of the apartment was perfect! ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT RENTING AN APARTMENT HERE!! YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
