I found the hostess at the Whitlock to be really classless, which totally ruined my experience. I made an outdoor reservation, which the restaurant confirmed. I show up and they say they have me down for an indoor reservation. I tell them that I am 100% sure I have an outdoor reservation and they tell me that I am wrong. I look down at the piece of paper that the hostess is holding with the list of reservations, and I can see my name and that it says outdoor, and they still tell me that they have me down for indoor, as we both stare at their paper that says outdoor. I tell them I’ll wait for outdoor, and they say it won’t be too long. I proceed to wait an hour. No apology, no free app, nothing. Just a totally classless experience.

We visited Whitlock today because it was well rated and menu looked good. To be sure, we made reservations for two. The host said that to sit outside, there is 30 minute wait, BECAUSE other walk-ins had names on the list. Go figure. The walk-ins are ahead of those who have reservations. They don’t count your reservation for outside !!! The kitchen was out of pancakes, waiter said, some table had ordered seven. Ask for skim milk, no skim milk or even 2 pct. Ordered biscuits, nice and warm outside but friz cold inside. If they want to fake the frozen and toasted biscuits as fresh, at least defrost. The place had an attitude as if, we are well rated, so we don’t need to care.

Where do I start? Chicken and waffles to die for, one of the best bloody marys I’ve had in my life, and impeccable, friendly service. Perfect Sunday lunch and will come back soon!
