My Dad was there for PT. What a joke! They never walked him. He got so weak. He was there to get strong. I can't tell you how many times they told me they are overworked! I said well then you shouldn't be taking more patients than you can handle. I would never let another family member go there! Terrible experience all the way around.

Very disappointed with the lack of service from the administrative staff. In house Dr wrote a comment in the patient portal that the patients incision was healing nicely. My mother did not have surgery. A different dr ordered a Doppler test due to the swelling in my mother ankle and leg. It took the staff over 24 hrs. to carry out the physicians order. Thank goodness my mother did not have a blood clot. Sales department was helpful with admissions but from there the communication between staff and family was deplorable. Avoid at all cost. I wouldn’t take my dog to this facility Mismanaged and incompetent!

Lutheran Home is a very pretty place, I will give them that, much nicer than most rehabs....However, the care for my Mother way way below average. It was a hassle to get her accepted there but she finally got in. Less than 2 weeks go by and her PT and OT are already claiming My mom could not be rehabbed. They blamed it on a hospital not writing a proper protocol, as if they themselves could not write one. I felt the therapists were probably overworked and not at all empathetic to my Mother and basically did not even try enough. They wrote a discharge plan no problem! As soon as they wasted her Medicare days! That, they could do. I am seeing reviews here mentioning case managers and we never even met one! The admissions lady was also very aggressive, we kept quiet thinking if we got past her the rehab would be great...WRONG. Please do your research, as they say "All that glitters, isn't Gold". Note: The recreation leader was motivated and really tried her best!

My mother got out of there last week and as of then you had to go to their website and reserve a time. It's not an easy place to find online. I would call them and they can walk you through it.

If she is on the first floor, you can stand outside her window and talk on her room phone. Also, and we never used it, they are supposed to have iPads in the room for a facetime visit.
