I was very disappointed in the care my mom got at the end of her life. She was a resident there for 9 years. Some of the nurses lacked compassion towards the family and to my mom. We had hospice involved but they only came in to check on my mom and family. A nurse did not believe in what hospice stands for so it was very upsetting. They need to make changes that show empathy and compassion for the patient as well as the family in the final stages of our loved ones lives. Even though the patient may just be a patient and a dollar sign to the company, they mean something to us and we would expect to share our memories with our family in a positive way not a negative memory. I hope changes are made so no other family has to feel the non compassion we felt.

We are beyond happy with how the Moorings has treated our family member. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Especially during the pandemic, we would receive updates and communication that kept us in the loop when we couldn’t visit. Kara Atwood was especially kind and understanding during that difficult time and continues to be available whenever we need to contact her. She radiates kindness and treats every patient and family with respect and tenderness. We are truly thankful to have Kara, and the Moorings staff, keeping our loved one feeling loved and respected.

We brought a friend who wants to move there. She put a deposit on a two bedroom unit. It was Sunday so things were a little quiet. Sounds and looks like great place to live.
