The Dealer had to take off the radiator for an ac service. The top hose was not fitted properly after the service. When we drove the Tahoe, transmission fluid quickly shot out of the Tahoe, disabling it and draining all the fluid. A passerby saw us stranded and came to help. Turns out he is a mechanic. He knew right away that the hose was loose based on the pool of fluid. Had us take pictures and he snapped the hose back on. He checked the transmission fluid and said it was pretty much empty, but the last bit was full of metal shavings. He said the dealer just blew our transmission and to tell them to make it right. Provided his card. Got us some transmission fluid and said to limp it to the dealer asap. We took it the next day. Dealer apologized and said shavings are normal… ummm nope. Not normal. I hope Chevy makes this right.
