Probably transmission problems or the transmission computer
IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR SHIFT CABLE IS BROKEN, i WOULD NOT DRIVE IT FAR OR ON THE HIGHWAY UNTIL THIS IS FIXED
They change the oil, they change the filter, for an extra fee they rotate your tires. They may or may not do any fluid checking, you would do well to check them yourself after the work is done, and make sure your gas cap is not missing.

There should be a catch basin with a drain hose. Basin or hose is probably plugged. Try and locate and clean clear any debris. You can probably felons the drain hose underneath near the firewall.
