Seriously irritated. They changed the plates to the wrong vehicle fine whatever I just put em on the correct vehicle but when I was there I told them I needed a new plate because one vehicle only had one and I needed two they sent me two plates but to the wrong vehicle. Seriously annoyed. Now I have to call them and wait 4-6 more weeks for correct plates

This is the DMV, department of motor vehicles. Your looking for the DOL which is the department of licensing. In Boise they are two separate places. The DMV deals with cars; registration, titles, etc. The DOL deals with drivers licensing and other things of the sort
You can only do registration online as far as I'm aware but I just bought a car and went in to register it with plates as well
No you can not, this is the DMV, it only deals with car registration and title work. Go to the DOL
We were not open on the 24th. We will be open regular hours Monday the 27th to Thursday 30th this week. We will be closed again on Friday the 31st.for New years.
Hello, you do not need to make an appointment, walk-ins are welcome and usually don't have to wait long.
No appointment needed. walk-in whenever. as far as what you need really depends on the situation. I would give our call center a call and they can give the answers to your questions for what to bring in with you. That number is (208) 577-3135
Online on there website
Hello, if you are the Heir you will need to fill out an heir affidavit and provide that form along with the title to the buyer. You can get that for at your local DMV or download the form from our website. I would also provide a bill of sale to the buyer.
Bring the title, bill of sale(if you have one) and your drivers license along with the plate number if you are transferring plates from another vehicle to the DMV. Very simple process, if it's an out of state title be sure to bring the vehicle with as they will need to do a Vin inspection.
Good afternoon Lisa, the Star cards are available at the Sheriff's Driver's Licensing office which is located at 400 N Benjamin Ln #101, Boise, ID 83704. You can book an appointment by using the following we address https://dmvscheduling.adacounty.id.gov/naoa/index.jsp and selecting "Drivers License" as the location.
Pretty busy. There usually is a line
Ditto
Phone system gets full of callers and it will say broken. Have to keep calling back to get in the queue. It isn't really broken just full of callers. I made appointment using the website: https://dmvscheduling.adacounty.id.gov/naoa/index.jsp
Not sure I'd take it with you if u have it
Steve Casey you'll need your out of state registration and license, and they will be doing a inspection to see if all three vin numbers match
Not sure about that
Probably should call to find out.
What Frank posted is on track was just there last week.
Shouldn't be long specially for tags, maybe a week
Lately it's been long, they have you wait in line outside the building, so you'll be able to see how busy it is. Bring a coat if it's cold.
Yes you can just need the things to prove your residence

Yes
It doesn't matter it's 1st come 1st served
Have to pay some money for the new registration! The dealership she'll give you a bill of sale with all the information they need on it ! It's probably pink!
That should be enough. Providing it is registered under your name or you have a bill of sale
Or hold on to them and use them on your next purchase
DMV has a copy of it! About an hour wait time down there right now you can go online and set an appointment to go in you can also give him a call and I'll answer your question on that just to make sure why called You Is Right
Title, bill of sale.
Unless you are here as a student you must get an Idaho license within 90 days of moving into Idaho. They will allow you to register your vehicle with an out of state license (I used my Illinois one) but had to obtain an Idaho license within 90 days.
Santa maybe?
Idaho requires a title to transfer title or register. I do not know what might be required for a totaled car to be be registered, but it would likely have some certification process and a branded title.
Yes you need a title and it's a real pain to get a new one. Try contacting the old owner and see if they can find it.
That's weird I usually get them in person
You can not get drivers licenses here you can get them at the Benjamin street location cost for a duplicate driver's license is $15.
No this office is for license plates and vehicle registration. The office on Benjamin is for drivers licenses thusly the star card.
Yes there is. There is a $3 fee anytime you pay with a card.
It depends on your car you can look on your old registration it should have an amount on the bottom
I believe that it should.
yes
Only vehicle registrations and titles are handled at this office
