Beautiful cathedral in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, that showcases the natural beauty around it. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We sat on a pew for several minutes enjoying the peaceful music and scenery. The architecture is stunning as well. We made a small donation with credit card before leaving.

An absolutely beautiful venue. I had a chance to visit this chapel because of a wedding. The windows provided a lovely view of the outdoors. It even seemed like we had both the beauty of the outdoors along with the conveniences of the indoors (including AC). There was plenty of parking and there were clear signs marking the entrance to the chapel.

Very impressive structure. Deemed, and probably redeemed, Ozark Gothic. This is a MUST visit site. There is no closer way to be in the presence of the creator and to be able to look upon his creation. DO IT!!!

So lovely!! I don't think I took enough photos and I definitely would love to go again. Perfect place for wedding, engagement or anniversary photos! Anyone who loves photography and old chapels would LOVE this place. My kids and husband enjoyed it as much as I did. I look forward to visiting again when vacationing in Arkansas.

We are sorry, but our records don't back that far. It is very kind of you to think of them!
The prices range from $500 to $1295. For more info, please visit thorncrown.com
Yes they do, I believe around 9am?
We don't rent rooms, but there many places in Eureka Springs that do. You can go to eurekasprings.org to see what is available.
It is a beautiful place to look at and take pictures of but, its probably a 10 to 15min stop at the most. They are open most of the time so if you missed their posted hours it would probably be dark and you couldn't see anything anyway. If you don't see that one you can always visit the chapel in the gardens outside of hot springs, very similar and just as beautiful
Lake Leatherwood is a great place for a picnic.
If you book now, you will get this year's prices. They are $950 Sunday through Friday and $1295 on Saturdays. We also have an elopement special for just the couple. It is $500. For more info, please call our chapel office 479-253-7401. Thank you!
Call them and they should be able to fix you up
No, Fay Jones designed many chapels. There are two in Arkansas. He also did a chapel in Texas, Missouri, and California to name a few. Thorncrown was his first.
There's an original church, which is the one in most pics, and a functional church next to it. Not sure if you can get married in the original, but someone from their church should lead you in the right direction. (The functional church mimics the orig: really cool.)
We allow dogs small enough to be held by their owner and service animals.
Doesn't open till 9, maybe you could sit in the parking lot and watch the sunrise, but I don't think you can see it very well because of the tree
Yes. You should have no trouble
The chapel will be open from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on the 4th and 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the 5th.
On Friday, June 4th we will be open from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. On Saturday the 5th we will be open 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
No, but the trail to the chapel is an easy walk. It is short and there are no stairs or hills to climb.
Prices range from $500 to $1295 depending on the day of the week and how large your wedding is.
You can but not recommend as the road around is not wide, pretty narrow and car are driving on faster speed with twist and turns. On the ground of the chapel you possibly can but it is not too big. The short road to the chapel is shared with road to private residence so there is also car coming and going.
Much colder than the middle of August. However, still a beautiful place to visit.
We will have Christmas services at 11:00 AM on the 8th, 15th and 22nd of December.
No, we are closed Thanksgiving day.
Sorry, but we have a wedding this Sunday evening, and we will close the front gate after that.
The chapel is open to the public during certain hours. We sometimes close early for events especially on weekends, so it is best to call if you plan to visit late in the day. The road that leads to the chapel is gated, so the chapel is not accessible after hours.

We will be open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Thorncrown Chapel has never been in a major motion picture. However, the one of the architect's chapels was in a Star Trek movie. It was Fay Jones' SkyRose chapel in California.
On sundays in October every have services. Sunday Services Sunday services are held at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM April through October. November through the third week in December we have one Sunday service at 11:00 AM. Our services last approximately one hour and include inspiring music and biblically based preaching. All people are welcome.
Not a tour, just an opportunity to visit and enjoy the scenery and serenity. When I went, I simply went in and sat down for a while. A lady was at the door as an attendant, but she didn't try to talk to you unless you had questions. They had a donation jar near the doorway but there was no fee to visit. I probably would not recommend taking small children because it's more of a place to be respectfully quiet. Seeing the structure and how it's built was well worth the visit.
They are usually pretty booked up. Call directly for info
Here are the hours Mon - Thu 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Fri - Sun 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
