Little over grown in some places. I would recommend starting the trail going left. There is not much to see on the whole right portion of the trail. There’s some broken metal/aluminum from a plane crash and some big rocks. If I were to do it again I would just start left and go straight to the scenic area and back out without doing the whole trail. LOTS of poison oak.

Beautiful, well maintained hiking trail! Awesome views! Dog friendly was a plus. We stayed very close by in The Moorwood House, highly recommended found on airbnb.

Beautiful hike. The loop trail going anti-clockwise provides a well shaded morning hike and the the view at the top is great. Wear pants and bug spray during the end of spring and start of summer. Some really tall grass sections. Hit up the Cliff House in for some breakfast after your early hike.
