Seely and Jane (Pitcher) Dekay and family are buried here. Sunrise Blvd was named after her home which she called 'Sunrise Ranch' where she raised 8 children, owned and farmed land in the 1800s. Sunrise Ranch still stands but gated and privately owned. Deweys, Fiddyments, Cirbys and other historical farmers and pioneers buried here as well.

This is my favorite place to visit in the entire town, but what happened to the bells?! It was wonderful hearing them. The shady trees, old monuments, Catholic statues, and layout just seem perfect to me. Too bad the gates open late and close early. I love coming here on mornings and evenings to pray for the souls in purgatory; I feel a deep connection to those who lived in better times.

Questions & Answers

This might be a crazy question but are there restroom facilities On the premises? Nothing like having to use the restroom and there not being one. Thank you.

Is there anything special we need to know about our internment on Saturday 3/10/18. 11:00 a.m. Will the vault be opened when we arrive? Who places the ashes in the vault? Can we bring flowers? How long can we stay?
