This place is a rare hidden gem. If you get it, you’ll understand and appreciate the beauty and history of this place and dying motels like this in general. Yes, it is dated, yes it could use repairs but something affordable, near the water, with real 60s charm and a hard working family running it is incredibly hard to come by these days….also less than an hour from NYC. You’re instantly transported into a simpler time plus name one place that can sleep 4 to a room for $150 on the water, with a pool and clean cozy sheets less than an hour from manhattan? May and her team were able to accommodate my party of 20 GUESTS just a few days prior to check-in. Such a gracious host who went above and beyond. Look anywhere else you’ll find high rises, “lux” hotels, etc… overpriced and over-designed. Stay there if you want that experience and have that deep of a wallet! I’ll personally continue to support more of these quaint independent owned motels, soon they won’t exist and we’ll all be paying $450 a night best case or $1200 on Airbnb worst. Thank you May!!! We will be back soon.

A hassle and a huge disappointment. We booked this location because of a wedding that we were attending close by. On arrival we were given a 1st floor room that was musty, had a tiny twin bed, felt like a dark dungeon, and had a terrible stench of mold. We expressed our thoughts to the property managers and were told to wait while they clean another room for us. The second room was cleaner but had a tiny AC that barely cooled and a table fan that was super loud, not to mention the one small twin bed (for 2 people). The screens were broken, there was no safe in the room, and the door lock was loose. We did not feel safe staying at the property and ended up having to pay $700 last minute for a nearby hotel for 2 nights. I contacted Booking.com with the issue and they emailed the property to get me a refund for the reservation. The hotel only refunded $98 not even half of what I payed!

For the price I was expecting it to be a dive, but what a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and the birds chirping outside was pleasant. The area is beautiful too. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are on a budget.

Perfectly pleasant other than construction crews early morning noise in end units 47-51(upstairs) and 14-18(downstairs) from where they store giant spools of cable and trucks on the end facing the pool. After 7am they hammer and have a lot to say at full voices with diesel trucks starting up, stopping, starting up, beeping backup, left running until 9am so don't expect to sleep in on the end units. If you walk across the street to the water's edge, turn left and you can walk the beach for a mile to Meudon Beach picking up beautiful shells&rocks, and discover interesting sea life!
