Rent spiked randomly by $450. Bugs, crime, and mandatory unwanted services. Abandon ship, this place is going down.

This is sad as my partner and i used to love living here under the old management Picerne. Most of the reviews that are posted from over a year ago are from the old management! The new management Avenue 5 is awful and the office staff that they have is terrible. The resident portal is going down every week so we are not able to submit ticket issues, which is not a big deal because we're able to call, but the staff is not helpful at all and most of the girls always seem to have an attitude. However, there is one lady with dark hair and glasses that I've encountered a couple times and she is always super helpful and sweet (i don't know her name). We've contacted them by phone and email four times about little bugs that we've been finding all over our apartment (not normal) and we never got a response to our email, and when we called the office, they did say that they would send someone out here, the day came and nobody ever showed. We also sent an email (that they never responded to) and called the front office about a foul smell that started coming from the holes in our medicine cabinet and they said that they would send someone out here the next day and nobody ever came. The lack of communication from the office staff is very frustrating and it just seems that they do not have the tenants best interest at all. The entire apartment complex has been under renovation now since January and it's still not done. I know renovations can definitely take a long time but it feels as if this new company is only focused on making everything look pretty and feel fun vs making sure the tenants that pay rent are taken care of first. Sadly. I don't recommend living here to anyone who's considering it.

ROACHES, DAILY BREAK-INS, and MORE!!!! The good reviews you see filtered at the top are from residents that lived with the previous ownership known as “The Palladium Apartments whose corporation is Picerne.” That management was with the five stars unlike the one we have now. Avenue 5 now owns this property and I wish you could give 0 stars because 1 is a charity star. Aside from raising everyone’s rent sky high along with all the additional unnecessary fees you can’t opt out of, it’s become the new section 8 apartments. Maintenence is a gamble as most of them hardly know what they’re doing and take long to respond to requests within our forever working/not working online portal. Roofing in multiple buildings is falling apart just waiting to hit someone over the head regardless how many times it’s been reported, the numerous amounts of roaches and other bugs EVERYWHERE is just mind blowing, and cars are guaranteed to be broken into at least once a day minimum if not the complex amenities which get shut down every other week. There’s no assigned parking and there are all types of broke down beat up cars all around the complex. Office hours are always changing and so is their staff members. On days when they feel like it they’ll ignore all the incoming phone calls and even leave the office door locked and the lights off so that people think they’re closed. The manger Christine is the only one worth speaking to as the others are always clueless and have constant attitudes. Almost everything you bring up to the majority of that staff (except Christine) is immediately followed with “there’s nothing they can do” other than write it down. Police reports don’t make a difference. And corporate just reroutes each call back to the main office because they don’t like being bothered.

i am still living in this appartment and just waiting to complete our agreement ..worst worst and still getting worse …when i shifted here got to knw our gym was closed due to some maintainance.. our washing machine dint worked.. n now we r not getting hot water .. all machines n equipment are tooo old so u keep repairing .. waiting to leave this apprt..
