During this lovely pandemic within a warm weekend...well...a treat is in order. Dovetail has a great beer garden. As you enter you have your temp checked and are given some mask instructions (the basics...wear your mask when not at the table... don't be a jerk...the standard). From there the beer flows. The selection is great and pairs well with the cheese ate and charcuterie. There are seatings so be prepared to only have a limited time...a limited but wonderful time! Sept 2022...the beer is still good and the folks are nice. Compared to Begyle, this is a much more low key spot. Definitely worth a gander and sip.

Bucket list brewery, this one was in my must visit when in the Chicago area. Nested in a quiet neighborhood setting, the brewery offers a wide array of German beers. Way too many to decide, every one I had were delicious and true to the style. Adjunct lovers stay away, this is the real deal. The bartender was extremely nice and super knowledgeable.

Good, clean German style beers (and a nice Witbier) in a dog-friendly tasting room. It's not surprising to see parents playing cards with their kids next to hipsters with craft beards. A small selection of snacks and the occasional food truck. Great local brewery!
