If you are local farmers you get first dibs on spots everyone else after that. You need social security number or EIN number. Outside spots not under sheds run around 20 under sheds are 25 to 40 with access to electric inside new heated building not sure on those but they are more for meats and places that cook with sinks running water and some ovens
Yes! And... You are going to like hearing this. There is a dedicated trailer there where you swipe your card for wooden $5 and $1 tokens accepted by all market merchants, and because of a grant program you receive 20 percent more in tokens on top of what you are spending (ask for $50 get $70 in tokens, etc.)!
Yes we will! More info on the flower sales here: cityofrochester.gov/flowercitydays
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 6AM-1PM. Check the website for more details...
Go to the public market website. Just google Rochester public market. Halfway down is info for vendor applications

8 am until 1pm
Yes there are. They look like red British telephone boxes lol
Across from market they have a huge parking area or in market parking area
There are vendors that sell yellow flesh watermelon but it's hot or miss. And depends if they are in season.
On the next Saturday you have free head over to the main office, the old brick house at the center of the market. All of your questions can be answered there. To play music during market hours you have to get on a list, I believe it's a first come first served list for set spots throughout the market. Good luck!
There is a metal building just outside the office, you get them there
Simply wear a mask, while walking around to vendors both inside and outside. Inside doors are open and air is circulating. I try to maintain a safe distance, keep moving and only stop to make a purchase. It seems all the regular venders for this time of year are there... Have fun
Yes
Yes, we accept EBT. Exchange is available for wooden tokens next to the market office in the white token center.
Hi Alexa, this is life itself sells chaga mushroom tea at the market! Website: thisislifeitself.com, Instagram: https://instagram.com/thisislifeitself?igshid=doxgpy55tbpc hope this helps!
The WIC funds are traded for market coins at the central booth. Those coins ( wooden nickels) can be used at any market vendors, I believe. In fact, I think that you get some sort of bonus when reading WIC funds in for market coins as a way to promote healthy nutrition.
Rochester as a whole is very easy to get around. Not really any good places within walking distance to market anyway. (You could walk from Hyatt, Strathallan and other downtown hotels but its a bit of a walk! I'd hit up hotel tonight or one of the other sites and just get a room for best value, including the adjacent suburbs unless there is something else specific you are going to that requires you to be downtown.
Yes
It's been at the current site since 1905 according to the city of Rochester website.
The sales always go on rain or shine, may get less vendors though.
Never seen any. Most farms that have them will sell you some. Cheap too.
Yes. You may need to change them at the office. If they are like the checks form some venders will accept them.
No, mushrooms at the market are rare, and they end up only being the ones that are shipped in from our off state. Mostly whites and Bellad.
No for vegetables.
The market is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday for farmers market - food, produce, etc. The times are roughly 7am-2pm. Some people by sell all their goods and leave earlier, some might linger a little later to try to sell more. It's pretty fluid and can depend on different factors, like weather. Sundays at the market are special events, not the farmers market. Sometimes they do plant sales, sometimes garage sales. You won't be able to do your regular market shopping on a Sunday.
I believe the Monroe county rabies clinic at the market is today from 430 to 6 pm, 280 N Union St
280 Union st N, Rochester, NY 14609
Certain stands on the weekends during the cold months
Some are ther on Tuesday. More are there on Thursday but everyone is there on Saturday. You have a better chance catching them on a Thursday if you are not going Saturday
I do not think you can. You can call the office number on website to verify
Call the city of Rochester public Market...they can tell you.
