‘Wanna be country pumpkin” is the most I’ll say about this place. Dirty. Tiny. Not a cozy atmosphere at all. Prices are like at a 5 star restaurant but the food and decor is like of a simple diner. One star goes for a good coffee (which was much better than at a diner). Food didn’t taste bad but it was delivered cold and my over-easy eggs were overcooked. One egg was completely solid. My kids’ scramble eggs were undercooked so the youngsters didn’t even touch those. I didn’t hear anyone cold pressing the juice. Maybe it was cold pressed but maybe it was not. Other places do that right in front of you, but not at this place. For $6 per glass it should’ve been pressed on the spot. The place falls waaaay short for how much they charge. $90 for 4 simple mediocre breakfasts is a TOTAL ripoff. Will never come there again for anything but coffee.

Decided to take my son to breakfast this morning and so I thought I would try The Toast since I had never been there before. Parking was easy and the place was all but empty. The girls at the front were super nice, helpful in answering some questions I had, and we ordered our food. I have to say there was no real option for children and so I spent quite a bit of money for an adult portion meal for a 5-year-old child and there weren't really any options that were child appropriate but thankfully he likes adult food too. We sat down and waited quite a while for our food to come out and at some point I thought this better be worth it for the wait but when the food came out I realized it was definitely worth the wait. Our food was excellent, and I mean excellent. I had a goat cheese, apple and sausage sandwich on a croissant which was heavenly and my son had french toast which I tried also and it was very good, beautiful presentation, albeit a little bit dry, but of little matter once you put maple syrup on it. My son needed to use the restroom, and I found it a little odd that they had extra tables stacked in there - I found that kind of off-putting and maybe prevent someone with a wheelchair from being able to truly access it easily so I would say they probably need to find somewhere else to store those, but the bathroom was very clean and easy to find. I also really liked how they have art for sale in there and it was on the wall in the bathroom and up front by the registers. I almost missed that actually because it's so low on the wall in front of the registers - they could probably put it on The Big empty wall by the large party table, but nonetheless I really like the idea of selling local art if it is indeed local. Overall I would say really good food and I can't wait to try some of their pastries someday. I don't think it's a place I would go to often with my son for breakfast just because of the price points being so high (almost $40 for breakfast) and not having any children's meals, and no pancakes which are his staple out to breakfast meal, but I would definitely take my husband back there or another adult for a special occasion breakfast, grab a sandwich to treat myself, or stop there to pick up a dessert for dinner sometime as a special treat to my family. Will be back for sure.

Best Chai Latte I have ever had! Burger was delicious, Turkey Club and soup of the day was incredible! Pastries to go-beautiful display and wonderful variety! Such a great find! New location in Cazenovia, NY, same delicious chai, wonderful pastries, housemate soups, wonderful menu.

There's no better sign that something is going to be good than when people are willing to wait for it and when we got here the line was out the door! Very cool environment, a little bit of old and new all wrapped up in one. The menu must be constantly changing as it is rolled out on a big roll of brown paper that can be cut off and occasionally rewritten. We got some croissant sandwiches which were all super delicious and for the number of patrons who ordered before us they can really chug out the orders as we didn't have wait very long. Would come here again and recommend to others.
