Does your child have difficulty seeing words when reading or do they mistake objects when they are further away? If so, they may need glasses. If you're not sure, it never hurts to have an eye exam! There are some unique measurements required for getting either contact lenses or glasses. But the intent behind both is to assess eyesight and determine prescription. Talk to one of our eye doctors today to see what options would be best for you! Call (970)-493-6360!
An eye examination is a medical assessment that looks for common eye diseases or conditions. These exams might include the use of various diagnostic instruments, such as an ophthalmoscope to look at the retina and optic nerve fibers, a slit lamp to closely examine the front surface of the eye, and other equipment as needed to prescribe glasses or contacts to improve the vision for an individual. Vision screening is a series of tests to identify if an individual has a problem seeing. These tests can be set up in schools or public buildings to test if a child can see while at school or allow someone to get a drivers license to operate commercial vehicles.
Getting an eye exam can allow someone to assess the risk for developing vision-related health problems. In some health conditions, vision problems are not the primary symptoms, but can be red flag for something else going on. Getting your eyes checked is just good medicine regardless of your age or if you have any special medical concerns.
We do not perform LASIK at PVE, but upon your visit with one of our optometrists you can ask to see if Lasik would be right for you.
We don't sell glasses at our office, but we do partner with Eyemart in Fort Collins. They're right next door and have a wide variety of frames and can offer great deals. Also, thanks to their in-house lab, select lenses can be picked up the same day!
It's rare, but we can take walk-ins if time permits. However, for your convenience, you can book any of our services in advance at any time. Do you have an inquiry about a service? Call us at (970)-493-6360 or book online!
