Finding myself in need of assistance from ACGS was humbling to say the least! Lots of unknown territory dealing with pretrial, court, probation, work release, DMV, education and therapy classes....whew! Blair was a very supportive and encouraging resource through my process. Classes were educational and I enjoyed the real world discussion included that encouraged my ownership and accountability. Through the whole tangled process, I felt like the folks at ACGS were about the only ones to treat me with dignity. I thank Blair and his team for that! Highly recommend ACGS and their resources if you find yourself navigating the court ordered process of education and/or therapy.

Blair at ACGS went to bat for me, providing a second opinion for the courts to consider regarding my alcohol evaluation. The courts did take into account this second evaluation, significantly reducing my sentence. The counseling services provided were also excellent, these people genuinely want to see you succeed. Nobody wants to find themselves in need of these services, if you do find yourself in this position, I can not recommend ACGS enough.

The best way to describe the main forces governing this business (Blair and Elizabeth) is "dated". All the advice and curriculum comes from very old ideas of therapy; from how the brain works to that old school patriarchal form of medicine where they have the audacity to believe they know how best for you to heal and grow rather than be a copilot in your journey helping to inform and guide your decisions without judgement. Whether you're looking for help or just trying to grind through the requirements, i highly recommend checking out Creative Counseling instead. As long as you are respectful to the people around you, they are very understanding and easy going, yet create a perfect atmosphere to create growth and connection opportunities to the individuals in group therapy. I was very pleasantly surprised by the contrast between the two businesses.
