Excellent Staff all around the board. Thank you for the care I was given here. As a patient I have no complaints.

I had a nurse speak about my personal health information and hippa while sitting behind the nurses station to her colleagues. I address her and she proceeded to argue with me. She was completely unprofessional in her colleagues than not address her whatsoever.

Literally sitting here with my mom , been here 3 hours , she is a cancer patient and has blood pouring down her face and they took a person back that came in after us and refuse to listen when I tell them her bleeding is getting worse.

I don't know why I keep trying to get mental health treatment from Upstate. I went inpatient in 2020 (Dr. Khan) and now 2022 (Dr. Meyers) and the care is terrible. I have been inpatient at Auburn and St. Joseph's in-between. This stay, I spent days on suicide watch and didn't see a psychiatrist until my third day, finally going inpatient. Dr. Meyers refused to give me ECT treatment unless I agreed to stop my other medication, which is crucial for my stability, but he believed was a source of abuse. The doctors do not care and do not trust their patients with their own mental health and medications. This place's only saving grace is some of its nurses, who actually care. If you are looking for quality mental health care in the Syracuse area, see Dr. Ghaly or go to St. Joseph's CPEP, and you will have a significantly better time. Edit: These doctors apparently don't even know how to read lab results. I was diagnosed with a UTI and prescribed antibiotics (no symptoms at all) because of blood and ketones in my urine, which are actually due my inability to eat solid food when anxious (I have ARFID). I asked multiple times for meal replacement drinks but was refused because I needed a "doctor's order." Again, I did not see a doctor for my entire 3-day visit, until 1pm on my last day there.
