The trip that goes north into springfield IL was late almost 3 hrs wednsday of last week . And I had a 3 hour lay over in Champaign IL ,

I have traveled greyhound. They will make you go inside to the counter to purchase the ticket. You can pay cash.
They close at a certain time so if you can print your ticket yes cause you will have to show it to the bus driver before boarding the bus.
Yes. Be sure to check the hours they are open. At least one day they close for dinner in the evening and open up again.

Sorry, this didn't show earlier and doesn't say what day you were leaving. The station is closed on Sundays. Open until 6pm M-F, 2pm on Sat. Then they reopen 7:30pm-9:00pm M-F. The buses still run when the station isn't open, you just can't get inside the building.
