Stonecutters Tavern at Belhurst Castle

My party of four arrived to Stonecutter's Tavern to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday on June 18, 2022. The atmosphere was wonderful and the views from the windows were spectacular. We were greeted by a smiling, warm and inviting waitress. She made us feel welcomed, and she provided the best service I have ever experienced in any restaurant, consistently, from the time we arrived till we left. The menu items were expensive but we figured that a great chef was preparing them. All four meals were problematic! A steak sandwich was cold and missing sauce; onion rings for three meals were cold and oily; seafood chowder was cold; mac and cheese bites were cold and dry; falafel sandwich had no sauce, a half of a cherry tomato, and a tiny piece of lettuce. My wife and I were mortified, and while our guests were understanding, my daughter's birthday dinner was ruined. A guest pointed out the owners at the corner of the bar living their best life completely oblivious of the sub par quality food being served in their restaurant. Our waitress was wonderful, apologetic and upset for us, and went out of her way to make it right. I'm not sure why the food was horrible, but I do believe the owners should be spending time in the trenches with their team rather than at the bar. We will not be going back.

Had lunch out on the patio on a Monday afternoon. Lunch was delicious and service was excellent! Yes, a little pricey but honestly, the view was stellar and the food was awesome. We had the swiss mushroom burger and the meatloaf sandwich special. Definitely choose the greens with balsamic vinaigrette as the side - unbelievably tasty. Highly recommend.

We were here midweek. Needed a place for a nice lunch and view. We sat outside and the a staff was extremely friendly. We had the spicy chicken sandwich and the steak sandwich. Delicious food and it was nice to sit outside!

Great spot for lunch or a casual meal. Great lounge feel with low chairs, seated low bar, high ceilings, outside fire pit. Good wine selection with some beers and ciders. Cocktails are decent. Sandwiches and salads are good, and at times you can order off the fancy Edgar's menu while still enjoying the pleasant ambience.
