Very disappointing this time. I had gone here once before and everything was great. I returned for my wedding anniversary and the experience was terrible. Cold food and no flexibility on the menu. I didn't want asparagus with my dinner and asked for broccoli instead. I was told that there are no substitutions and that if I wanted broccoli I would have to pay $6.95 for a side dish. I reluctantly agreed as I do not eat asparagus but my wife does. However when my dish came they did remove the asparagus and gave me broccoli on the side so I believed that they wouldn't charge me for it but they did anyway. If I paid for the extra side shouldn't I still get the original side? Also they ran out of the wine my wife wanted and suggested another wine. My wife agreed. What they forgot to mention was the new wine was double the price of the wine we originally asked for. Bait and switch perhaps? I don't recommend this restaurant any longer. Beautiful setting, over-priced for just average cold food is not worth it to me. Service was great and our waitress was very nice.

Magnificent evening on the beautiful grounds with views of the lake. The food was absolutely delicious. You need to plan an evening here by reservation but it is worth it. The decor of the restaurant is filled with antiques reminiscent of another era. The service was excellent and we enjoyed relaxing on the lawn after to enjoy the view.

Great menu pricey good portions knowledgeable Wait staff. Now the reason not 5 stars easy would not allow simple substitutions and at $50 a plate green beans steamed really....

The castle is beautiful, the grounds are gorgeous, and the food was delicious. They are very short staffed (and would love to have you come in for an interview), but they took good care of us. The steaks were amazing, and gumbo was tasty with a suttle smoky flavor and a light kick. It was even better as left overs! We enjoyed ordering a few desserts and sharing. Peanut butter pie was very rich, Pistachio cheesecake was sweet and a fun and unique dessert (it is quite sweet!). The apple pie and ice cream was everything it should be.
