Of I could rate this place with less than a star I would. I applied for assistance and the 60 to 90 days they promise is an entire lie.. It took them from December until the end of May to decline my application saying my landlord sent information showing I owed a very small amount of money and when I ask to get a copy of what was sent. They gave me a run around between emailing a supposed supervisor who told me to call customer service like 3 times...these people are not providing help but creating homelessness for genuine people that needed it like myself!

Applied for assistance in Dec., received decision 6 months later, denying my request because of a couple missed minutes of the rental webinar. Asked for documents of proof of attendance, minutes I missed. The runaround lasted 39 emails. They would not send me any documents of proof. I have been waiting for months, for a response and living in mold conditions. Recently tested positive for mold poisoning. Provided evidence of mold analysis prior to denial. File was to be noted. Never was per calling. I am now in the eviction process. Filed complaints with the comptroller and IDHA legal department. Neither will report back to me with the evidence. Contacting JB Pritzker’s office, received a response that my matter was sent to IDHA. Not even a confirmation from the legal department that they received my evidence and complaint. My continued decline in health, evidence provided to so many people, and no replies back by many departments, will hopefully help me to get assistance via the courts, but also hoping to point out employees in court filings so this unprofessional behavior will be reported and should be dealt with. I am on disability and a citizen, struggling with mental health, a suicide survivor, disability took 2 years to approve me. Also, due to “miscues.” Hope to raise awareness. Very heartbreaking and disturbing how the government would allow you to be Sick and not give a damn. Shame on you!

Applied for rental assistance back in June due to the pandemic just got back to work in July was denied rental assistance even though I'm a single mother of four kids who's also suffering from this pandemic however they're handing out money to people who have been doing fraud with PPP and unemployment people who lie on their applications are getting approved but the average single parent is denied. I also was told "I must have been one of those people who hung up on the class" No I was not I took the class 2xs never received the email to download my certificate and rent past due letter. I called and emailed the questions email and was told my landlord did his portion of the application so they must not have needed the certificate. I still emailed the certificate and letter but now told I should have not emailed to the questions email but what else was so supposed to do?? They never sent the link and I called so many time same thing nothing's just keep getting the run around and got denied!! Look into who passing out this funding something fishy going on here!!
