I have nuthin but genuine respect and admiration for Mr.Cole 2 B in 1 Location when Sooo many more businesses have shut their doors or moved to better economically developed locations, the amount of disenfranchised people snd mentally challenged that are 4got about in that neighborhood who others have 4gotten about n gave up on, this man helps every1 while deliverin quality affordable repair of shoes and leather and suede products, they are truly craftsmen, go 2 any other shoe and leather repair places n see how much they charge U and are Much More Expensive then Shine King, they have several guys there who have over 25+yrs shinin shoes and their expertise are 2nd 2 none, i have taken many many pairs of shoes n leather coats 2 B repaired or shined and 1nce shine king shine your shoes, if U have a do it yourself kit, U can keep a good shine for 6mos 2 a year, I have brought expensive shoes with exotic skins and smooth leather shoes like Bruno Magli's that they've made em look like new!!
I think at least $5. I dropped off two pair last week and it cost me $13. I always leave a tip with the person shinning my shoes and another tip if they did an exceptional job.
Just take it in to the location at Central and Lake... Actually it's Corcoran and and Central, however, you just need to show it to him and nine times out of 10 they can work their magic.
Yes... Good quality shoes especially worth it!
Yea they do... see D' Money when you go & tell him Rick sent you! 😆
You only had one official location on Madison near Pulaski years ago. They have had a couple of locations downtown -- either in a train station or hotel. Those are just temporary locations. They also do fundraisers/events at hospitals occasionally where they bring in a portable shoe shine chair which is raised off the ground considerably so the feet are at the working level of the shoeshine worker. James Cole had a location on Madison first and then moved over to Central just south of Corcoran, then about 10 years later they closed down the Madison Avenue location.
It depends but in most cases yes...
Follow Steve's Advice Above!
They can fix a toe...you have to take it in for them to see. As for dying your Tim's...ask Vern when you get rhere.
h
Yes we do
They will need to take a look at the shoes and make a decision. They can replace the heels and soles, which is usually very reasonable..maybe under $20. They can definitely clean them and restore the color as well. It all depends on the condition of the shoe.
This has always been a west side of Chicago location. If there is a south side one with the same name, it is a different owner.
Absolutely. They can replace heels and soles on most shoes. I had a pair of original Corcoran military boots from the 70's and Shine King replaced the heels and soles, tip top shape.
Cost me 35.00 to repair a hole, replace some, and shine.
I would to know answer to this about dyeing leather vintage purses
Yes they do
