This was an amazing find for me. Tons and tons of gently used craft supplies. They have great prices. The service is great. If I ever need something in particular I can shoot them a message and ask if they have it instead of paying full price at the store. Very helpful people.

Incredible variety of gently used art supplies. The store is well-organized and the staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve found all sorts of fun crafty and art supplies: 11 matching glass bottles, high quality oil paints, vintage sewing patterns, woven leather buttons, etc. Always worth a visit!

We have added a web store, https://shop-the-wasteshed.square.site/ so that materials are available for contactless pickup every day from 12-3. At our weekend Sidewalk Sales, 11-4 on Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting), masks and distancing are enforced. We put a lot of inventory outside for folks who don't want to come inside, we keep both doors open and fans running to keep air circulating, and only 5 customers are allowed in the store at a time to prevent crowding. This is roughly 4x the level of vigilance required by the city for retail, but the safety of our customers and staff is of paramount importance. We will maintain these practices until COVID 19 is defeated.

They do, check out their Instagram to see if they are currently accepting donations, because sometimes there's more donations than volunteers.
We do not have pre-packaged activities (unless they come to us that way) but you can find some stuff in our designated Free to Teachers section and we have a variety of free stuff usually out on our sidewalk in our free bins.

They accept National Geographic and some art magazines. They have a lot right now. Please call them and share the titles you have and how many issues to see if they have space before taking them over.
