This was my second time at the friendship center pantry and I had a lovely experience, you get to pick out your own food. The volunteers are amazing they help you pack your food to go. You are also able to come twice a month, Melissa was an amazing volunteer, they have household items, baby diapers and wipes I believe formula for babies and hot food served on Thursday nights from 6pm-8pm.

Yes, they actually do deliver food to your home you have to call to set up an appointment, I believe you have to be a senior, but call to find out, they deliver on Saturday's not sure the time call them to get more details.

They never seem to get a lot of dry cereal, cheerios, etc.
Come to the Center on Tuesdays 3 to 7 or Thursdays 12 to 4 and talk to Ross. There have been h.s. volunteers before, so I am guessing we have a program in place already for you to join. Come on down!

FYI - this summer we changed our hours and location. We are now operating every Thursday from 1-4pm at 2711 W. Lawrence ave. Donations for us can also be dropped off at the 47th Ward Offices during regular weekday office hours.
