If I could get this place a 0 I would. To all the families out there who are dealing with an addictive family member or an addict yourself trying to start a clean fresh start I would really research these types of places and start locally first. My mom who has dealt with the vice grip of addiction since her teenage years was really hitting rock bottom about six, or seven years ago and saw an ad for this place on TV and was willing to deal with her anxiety to fly out of state to this place to get help. When we sent her off we never expected to get a phone call a month later from her at a local McDonald's telling us they had kicked her out of the facility, and they walked down the street with her luggage staff members laughed at her. The family worked to get her a plane home. To this day I don't understand if something wasn't working out why the staff couldn't call us and we could of gotten her home sooner, or if she didn't want to complete the program anymore why the staff couldn't let her stay in a reception area or on the grounds until we worked to get her home. They knew she was out of town. I'm sure someone may respond to this and say "Well she just didn't want to work at our facility to get clean" That's not true. My mom, while stubborn knew she had to do something to help herself which is why she she made the trip there in the first place When she came home she was recommended a place locally and did so much better with helping herself. Sadly, earlier this month my mom passed away from Pneumonia. Though it was years ago the image of her walking with only her luggage while staff members laughed at her is utterly cruel, and disgusting and I will never forget it. There is nothing that Serenity Oaks Wellness Center can say to make it okay or their actions justifiable. I'll never forgive them for the incident EVER. My word of advice is: Just research places like this. Especially if you are out of town.

I loved my experience at Serenity Oaks, however; I've come to find out my insurance was fraudulently billed and the former owner found guilty of fraud and patient brokering. I now have a 75k bill, filing bankruptcy and how this happened? I expressed my concerns about being out of network but it was worse than I could have imagined.

Serenity Oaks changed my life. I went in a terrified shell of a person. I left born again, a new man entirely. The team of therapist is amazing. Jeff and Fumni especially, they saved my life. That place made me realize so much about myself I never thought was possible. Today I am clean and sober living a live beyond my wildest dreams. I owe the credit to the things I learned at Serenity Oaks. They give you all the tools you need to succeed in the real world. I recommend this place to anyone who is suffering from the cunning, baffling, powerful disease called addiction.

Serenity Oaks was a great experience for me. It was the first time I was in Florida for treatment. They helped me overcome so much more than just my substance abuse. Every staff member knew my name. My therapist was Ally. She was great and called me on my bs. Her, Jeff, and Funmi ran the best groups. They all have a different approach to group therapy and they keep it interesting. They really helped me dig deep and come to an understanding about why I do the things I do. My recovery wouldn't be the same without the staff like Adrianna, Yalanda, Mr Will, Peter, Sara, Paulna, Ryan, and Roxy. The nursing staff such as Sarah, Charlotte, Ricardo, Michelle were all PHENOMENAL!!!! And nurse Andrea literally saved my life!!!!!!! Dan the case manager was pretty cool and understanding. He helped me out with important court cases I wasn't able to attend. And last but not LEAST! WENDY!!! She runs an amazing team as the clinical director and truly helped me do for me what I couldn't do for myself. Thank you SOWC for helping me when I couldn't help myself!!!

Questions & Answers

why can I not get someone to talk to @ this facility??? My daughter is there for treatment. It has been over 2 weeks & all they do is send me to finance people wanting $2700 for co-pay. They haven't even billed the insurance company yet.

My son is there and we were told we had a $10000 co-pay and that would be before running the other insurance and it would be less.. I got a call yesterday wanting $6000... everytime we call the facility no one answers the phone and my son can only make a call on speaker phone w a therapist sitting there.. I don’t feel comfortable with this situation .. and I will be moving him ASAP

Hi I wil be arriving tommorrow would cash or a prepayed credit card work as well?
