I don't usually leave reviews, but John went out of his way and picked up a 17" bike from the warehouse, pointed out a minor defect and offered a discount, and patiently helped me figure out a good seat height--all for a new walk-in customer an hour before closing time. Super honest and friendly staff, would recommend :)

(Original review left unsent from a few years ago.) My one and only complaint, if you could call it that, is that John didn't hire me when he started this business. The workers who operated on the bike did so quickly and to specifications other shops refused to do. They did such an outstanding job that I'll forgive him for not hiring me. Oh and he introduced me to Shiner Bock. -end review- Since then I've gotten advice on how to build and attach a trailer for my dog, gotten a couple tune-ups, and bought tubes. Today I'm going to pick up my newest bike that had a derailer decide to commit suicide and jump into my spokes. I'm convinced it's going to be another outstanding experience so I'm throwing caution to the wind and posting my review now. In short, Clown Dog Bikes is the Gary Fisher Hi-fi Deluxe of bicycle shops in Austin, this world, and beyond.
