I recently had my identity stolen. Whoever stole it was able to get into my computer and associated devices because of a compromised password from the Equifax breach. Apple worked with me extensively on three different occasions to correct the issue and successfully get all of my devices back on track. Two of the times took approximately three hours. They never became impatient, clearly explained everything to me. The service people were excellent at the genius bar. I can’t say enough good about them.

Checked in at front and waited 45 minutes for a pickup while others walked in and immediately got their pickup. Nice staff but extremely poor communication.

Yes. Any Apple product owner can make an appointment at the Genius Bar online (recommended) or drop in for help at the Apple store regardless of where the product was purchased, product age or issue you're having.
If a device is determoned to require repair for sone reason it either needs to be in warranty or otherwise have Apple Care active.
