My boyfriend took me here today for our anniversary and oh my gosh this store is incredible. It's a fiber artist's heaven. The staff were so kind and welcoming. When they heard it was our first time here they gave us a tour of the place and were so helpful. The selection is absolutely huge and all so beautiful. I ended up buying 3 hanks including one which was hand dyed by the owner of the store and can't wait to start working with them. I will definitely be coming back

I have been going to MFY since they opened around 10 years ago. I have always loved their stock and I have taken a class there as well. They have many opportunities for social gatherings and get togethers. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to visit there and enjoy the beautiful yarns and the very helpful owner and staff.

Hi Gillian, Yes we have a wide selection of knitting patterns available both in-store as well as online on our website (https://michiganfineyarns.com/collections/patterns). We have patterns in the form of books, magazines, e-books for download post-purchase as well as PDF versions of designs. If you're looking for something more custom, we have our own patterns available on our ravelry page for purchase as well (https://www.ravelry.com/shops/michigan-fine-yarns/products). Outside of this, we often add free patten ideas for download on our website as well!

Kim we do not have macrame classes.
They offer classes at every level. Their website has old class info, but it shows 4 sessions for $45, and there were 5 daytime offerings and two nighttime. Info says to sign up, as class size is limited to allow instructors to give individual attention.
